Learn the art of risograph printing using experimental photo printing techniques. This workshop focuses specifically on using the risograph to print colour photographs, from your own digital files, achieving either photorealistic or experimental results.

WHAT IS RISOGRAPH?
The risograph is a high-speed printer, which uses a stencil of your image wrapped around a single-colour drum of ink to create beautiful prints, one colour at a time. Multi-coloured prints are made by swapping ink drums out of the Riso and printing on the same page again and again.

THIS WORKSHOP IS SUITED FOR:
Photographers of any level, looking to experiment with their printing processes beyond conventional printing, Artists whose work sits anywhere in the intersection of photography and printmaking, interested in alternative image-making techniques.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Ideally, you should send a print-ready high resolution (300dpi, A3 size or smaller if you prefer) image to us, prior to this workshop. This can be sent by email to studio@damnfineprint.com.

Prior knowledge of preparing digital files for print will ensure you get the most out of this workshop. If you’re not familiar with setting up your files for print, this workshop may not be for you, but you might be interested in one of our Introduction to Risograph classes.
